    Just wanted to point out that you said they both come from Aramaic, however, Hebrew was around before Aramaic, but it adopted the Aramaic “block” script (which is what is used today) in about 500 BCE I think. The Samaritans, a religious group that broke off from Judaism a long time ago, still uses the original Paleo-Hebrew script from before 500 BCE.

    these videos are so useful
    in addition to some texts that teach u how to write and read alphabet
    you can move to a higher level with books written in hebrew + dictionaries and all.
    Thats how I learned modern assyriac

    YAY! studying Hebrew with you! That’s great because I want to study Arabic and Hebrew at the same time, because I think the similarities and contrasts of the two langagues will help me remember better! It’s like 2 varieties of 1 system.
    Maha, you are a great teacher and I think it’s very helpful to watch your video’s in addition to my books. You have a very clear pronounciation.

    who cares where she is from? she is a christian who is proud to be arab and of her language. christians arabs were there long before islam.

    I don’t think so.Maronites usually define themselves as Lebanese or even Phoenicians.Maha defines herself as Arab.
