PSALM 23 – The Lord is my Shepherd – I will not lack – by Israeli Singers Gad Elbaz & Itziq Shamli

Hebrew English (Lyrics/Words to “Psalm 23”)

“ch” below is like the gutteral sound in Chanukah and Challah

Mizmore Le’David A Song of David.
Adonai ro-i, lo ech-sar. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
Bin’ot deshe yarbitseini, He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,
Al mei m’nuchot y’nahaleini, He leadeth me beside the still waters,
Naf’shi y’shovev, He restoreth my soul,
Yan’heini b’ma’aglei tsedek, He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness,
L’ma’an sh’mo. For His name’s sake.
Gam ki eilech Yea, though I walk
B’gei tsalmavet, Through the valley of the shadow of death,
Lo ira ra, I will fear no evil,
Ki Atah imadi. For Thou art with me.
Shiv’t’cha umishan’techa Thy rod and Thy staff
Hemah y’nachamuni. They comfort me.
Ta’aroch l’fanai shulchan Thou preparest a table before me
Neged tsor’rai In the presence of mine enemies,
Dishanta vashemen roshi Thou anointest my head with oil,
Kosi r’vayah. My cup runneth over.
Ach tov va-chesed Surely goodness and mercy
Yird’funi kol y’mei chayai Shall follow me all the days of my life,
V’shav’ti b’veit Adonai And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
L’orech yamim. Forever (length of days).

Gad Elbaz – Singing “T’Filah” (prayer)

So far, I have heard parts of the “Mi-Sheberach” and the “Aaronic Benediction”. I’m trying to find and piece together the lyrics. Below is what I have found so far. The numbers indicate the minutes:seconds into the video.

I think this is a blessing for the naming of a baby girl, but I still haven’t found the exact prayer yet.

Mi Sheberakh May He Who Blessed
Imoteinu: Sarah, Rivka, Rachel v’Leah Our mothers: Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah
0:40- I’m still looking for the words in the middle
…Shmeh Raba…? may His great name
2:10 Ya-Ayr HaShem panav alecha v’yichunecha May HaShem cause His face to shine upon you
2:28 Yee-saw HaShem panav alecha v’ya-sem l’cha shalom. May HaShem lift up his countenance upon you and set peace upon you.
2:57- I’m still looking for the words
4:28- They apparently spliced in another song here.

The prayer for the “Mi-Sheberach” leaves out the “Avoteinu” (forefathers). When someone ask for healing they give their Hebrew name, son of their mother’s name, instead of using their normal fathers name.
See the complete “Mi-Sheberach” here.
